Orient Express Top Street Bike will kick off
its qualified, bracket-style eliminator, on April 3rd with the category’s first
points race of the 2010 season. The
points season continues running on the following Saturdays: April 10th, May 29th,
July 3rd, July 10th, July 24th, August
14th, August 28th, October 16th, and will conclude its series on October 30th.
In 2010, RacewayPark
will offer special non-points Top Street Bike events on Fridays. The dates are: April 9th, May 28th, July 2nd, August 13th,
and October 22nd.
Top Street Bike racers
are expected to be on time for qualifying.
Two Sessions will be run; late arrivals will not have the opportunity to
make up a qualifier. Please pay attention
to 87.9 FM or the PA system for all lane calls.
Adding to the
excitement, RacewayPark will once again hold
its Annual Motorcycle King of the Track race on Sunday, July 11th. Open to all Motorcycle and Sled racers, who
conform to RacewayPark’s category rules in
Motorcycle/Sled ET and Top Street Bike, the event will give Motorcycle and Sled
ET racers the opportunity to win a NHRA Wally trophy during a King of the Track
event at RacewayPark.
Also, first place
competitor in the Orient Express Top Street Bike points series, as of August
29th, will join TeamRacewayPark
at the NHRA Division 1 Summit ET Finals.
This year’s Top Dog
Bounty Days will be held on July 10th and October 16th. The Orient Express Top Street Bike Top Dog Bounty Race will pay double payout
to any racer that beats a “Top Dog” or remains a “Top Dog”. This race is open to all Top Street Bike
racers. The winners of each Top Street
Motorcycle event are considered the “Top Dogs”.
If you beat a “Top Dog” in the first round, you are now the “Top
Dog”. If you are a “Top Dog” and make it
to the money rounds, the semi finals, your payout will be doubled. The title of “Top Dog” does not carry over
past the first person that beats a “Top Dog”.
In other words, if the person who beats a “Top Dog” loses, that winner
is not a “Top Dog”.
